From December 2012 until February 2015, one emergency.lu regular kit was deployed in Guasdualito, Venezuela. The system was providing internet connectivity to a UNHCR field office.

Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 hurricane, struck Haiti on 4 October 2016, causing hundreds of deaths, widespread damage, flooding, and displacement. The hurricane resulted in the largest humanitarian crisis in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake. Among the 2.1 million people who were affected, nearly 1.4 million were in need of some kind of humanitarian assistance.
