2025 was marked by an unprecedented breadth of humanitarian operations, with the emergency.lu team responding swiftly and effectively to crises across the globe. Over the course of the year, 15 operations were conducted, reflecting a sustained commitment to readiness, rapid deployment, and international solidarity.
Every major humanitarian crisis of 2025 triggered a response—often under severe time pressure and challenging operational conditions.

Logistics by the numbers
The operational tempo of 2025 was matched by a significant logistical effort:
- Over 63 metric tons of humanitarian items and technical equipment shipped
- Approximately 300 cubic meters of cargo, equivalent to around three C‑130 cargo aircraft, or half of a strategic C‑17 airlift
These shipments included shelter materials, generators, connectivity solutions, and specialized equipment—each tailored to the specific needs of the crisis at hand.
A year defined by readiness and reliability
Across all 15 operations, a consistent priority guided action: deliver the right support, at the right time, to the right place. Whether responding to conflict, climate‑driven disasters, or protracted fragile situations, 2025 demonstrated the value of preparedness, strong partnerships, and the ability to mobilize rapidly at global scale.
