Mozambique Floods

In January 2026, catastrophic flooding in Mozambique affected over half a million people, prompting emergency.lu to donate diesel water pumps through the UCPM. These pumps facilitated the drainage of flooded zones, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and further displacement.
Cabo Verde Floods

Following severe floods in September 2025, Luxembourg deployed thermal blankets from its emergency.lu stockpile under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, delivering rapid assistance to displaced families in Cabo Verde and supporting national authorities in meeting urgent shelter needs.
