Technical assistance

emergency.lu provides a mobile, satellite-based telecommunications platform designed to rapidly restore connectivity in disaster-affected areas where conventional infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

The system delivers end-to-end communication solutions, from satellite backhaul to on-site network distribution, enabling secure and reliable internet access, voice communication, and data services in austere environments.

Supporting international response mechanisms

These services facilitate coordination among humanitarian organizations, national authorities, and international response mechanisms.

In sudden-onset emergencies, where the first operational hours are critical, emergency.lu supports first responders and rapid deployment mechanisms by ensuring immediate connectivity upon arrival.

This includes dedicated support to UNDAC teams, EU Civil Protection Teams (EUCPT), and other surge capacities operating under international coordination frameworks.

Modular and scalable solutions

The solutions are modular and scalable, allowing deployment in a wide range of contexts — from small assessment missions to large humanitarian hubs or base camps.

End-to-end configurations can include full local area networks and managed Wi-Fi services, for example in coordination centers, humanitarian compounds, or camp environments.

Support to affected communities

Beyond supporting operational actors, emergency.lu connectivity can also be extended to affected communities.

In line with national regulations and in close coordination with local authorities, communication services can be re-established for communities following a disaster.
