Mobile Medical Units for Ukraine

Luxembourg donated mobile hospital containers to Ukraine through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, providing urgently needed deployable medical capacity for treating frontline military and civilian casualties, in coordination with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and European partners.

Farchana Inter-Agency Hub Extension

Luxembourg and IHP partners expanded the Farchana Humanitarian Hub with new prefabs, WASH and power systems, and a kitchen to accommodate humanitarian staff responding to the Sudan crisis, following assessment missions in 2023 and construction mission in 2024.

Hurricane Beryl – IHP Support

Following Hurricane Beryl in July 2024, and through the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP), Luxembourg supported the UNDAC response in the Caribbean.

Farchana Inter-Agency Hub

The Farchana Inter‑Agency Hub, established through IHP partners led by Luxembourg, provided a secure, self‑sufficient coordination base in eastern Chad, enabling sustained UN cross‑border humanitarian operations in response to the Darfur crisis.

Türkiye Earthquake

On 6 February 2023, at 04:17 TRT (01:17 UTC), a Mw 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria. The epicenter was 37 km (23 mi) west–northwest of Gaziantep. The earthquake had a maximum Mercalli intensity of XII (Extreme) around the epicenter and in Antakya.
