Humanitarian Stockpile

To address immediate needs, emergency.lu maintains a humanitarian stockpile comprising essential non-perishable non-food items (NFIs), including tents, blankets, generators, cold chain equipment, and other critical relief supplies.

These assets are maintained in a constant state of operational readiness and can be rapidly mobilized to support displaced populations and communities affected by crises.

Direct relief and operational support

The stockpile is structured to provide both direct relief assistance and support operational enablers. Core relief items contribute to immediate stabilization and basic living conditions, while technical equipment supports essential services such as energy supply and temperature-controlled storage for medical or sensitive materials.

Deployments are typically carried out in response to formal requests from affected countries. International assistance is primarily channelled through the European Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
