Emergency Shelter Items for Lebanon

In response to the Lebanon crisis, Luxembourg deployed shelter items from its humanitarian stockpile, delivering tarpaulins, kitchen sets and sleeping mats via the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge.

Farchana Waste Management

In response to the Sudan crisis, Luxembourg deployed wasteburners from its humanitarian stockpile to UNHCR‑run camps in Farchana, supporting safe waste management, improved hygiene and healthier living conditions for refugees.

Dniester River Pollution

In March 2026, Moldova sought EU Civil Protection Mechanism assistance after pollution threatened the Dniester River. Luxembourg provided generators, enabling continuous operation of equipment supporting water protection, pollution containment and emergency response efforts.

Humanitarian Demining Kits for Ukraine

In February 2026, Luxembourg donated demining kits and generators to Ukraine via the UCPM, strengthening mine‑action efforts and restoring essential power supply for civilians affected by conflict and infrastructure destruction.

Mozambique Floods

In January 2026, catastrophic flooding in Mozambique affected over half a million people, prompting emergency.lu to donate diesel water pumps through the UCPM. These pumps facilitated the drainage of flooded zones, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and further displacement.

Tropical Cyclone Ditwah

After Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka, Luxembourg responded through emergency.lu by deploying shelter and household items from its humanitarian stocks, providing tents, bedding and essential kits to support families displaced by the storm.

Typhoon Kalmaegi

Luxembourg deployed 150 family tents and 138 kitchen sets to Vietnam after Typhoon Kalmaegi, supporting families displaced by severe flooding and damage through an EU‑coordinated airlift and rapid logistics operation.
